Dr. Musharraf Rasool Cyan

Chief Executive Officer -PIACL

Dr. Musharraf Rasool Cyan joined PIACL as Chief Executive Officer on September 05, 2017. He holds a PhD in Economics from Georgia State University and MSc in Development Administration and Planning from University College London. He stood first in the nationwide competitive exam for central superior services of Government of Pakistan in 1990 and won gold medals for his performance in public management courses at the Civil Services Academy (National School of Public Policy). His doctoral studies in Economics focused on pricing, consumer behavior, competitive industry practices, taxation, investment in public assets, public services, quantitative methods and analytical tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
Dr Cyan has wide ranging experience in implementation of public sector programs in Pakistan, assuming leadership roles from early age and managing multiple agencies under his control.
Since completing his doctorate in economics, he has worked in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Egypt, Jordan, Macedonia, Nepal, Rwanda and the United States of America. These assignments have involved public sector reforms, behavior change and economics development and providing technical assistance to senior level government officials. He has provided technical assistance to World Bank, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Program, USAID and other international organizations.

Mr. Nayyar Hayat

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Nayyar Hayat, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fellow of Cost & Management Accountants (FCMA), and an Associate of Certified Practicing Accountants Australia, joined Pakistan International Airlines as General Manager in Finance Department in April 2010. He has also served as Chief Internal Auditor of the Corporation from January 2013 to August 2013 and is presently serving as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr Nayyar has extensive experience in strategic planning, aircraft financing, financial restructuring, corporate finance, joint ventures, capital asset oversight, corporate matters, global tax structure oversight and risk management. He has got 16 years of successful and diverse experience in finance. Before joining Pakistan International Airlines, he has served in Sugar, Steel, Edible Oil, Retail, Real Estate, Education, Health and Not for Profit Sectors. He has served as CEO of Skyrooms (Pvt) Ltd. which runs Airport Hotel. He has also been a board member of Abacus Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. which is a National Distribution Company formed as a Joint Venture between Abacus Singapore and PIA. Besides heading ERP and SBU formation project. He served as Acting CEO during 2017.

Mr. Muhammad Shuaib

Secretary-PIACL

Mr. Muhammad Shuaib is the Secretary of PIACL since January 13, 2017. Besides first class first MBA, he holds an LLB degree. He is a Certified Director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. He participated in various conferences, and workshops held in Pakistan and abroad. During 2008 to 2012, Mr. Shuaib had served as Secretary of PIAC – the statutory corporation that existed under PIAC Act. As General Manager, he has headed various Divisions in PIA including Industrial Relations, HR Management, Economic Planning, Food Services, and HR Projects. Mr. Shuaib had also served as Chairman of Institute of PIA Planetaria. Voluntarily, he served as President PIA Cricket Academy, elected International Commissioner Pakistan Boy Scouts Association and Provincial Commissioner of PIA Boy Scouts Association. He is ex-officio Member of CSR Committee, and Secretary of Board′s Committees as well as Management Executive Committee (MEC).

Mr. Jawed Mansha

Acting Internal Auditor

Mr. Jawed Mansha is Acting Internal Audit. Mr Mansha is Fellow Member of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan. Additionally, he has Masters Degree in Commerce as well as in Economics. He is a Certified Director from Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG). Mr Mansha has a professional experience of more than 20 years in Finance, Safety, Corporate Affairs and Internal Audit. He remained member of Task Force established by the Ministry of Finance for the development of code of corporate governance for Public Sector Companies. He has represented ICMAP & PIA at various International forums and conferences. He has served as Member of National Council of ICMAP & Chairman of Joint Committee of ICMAP & ICAP. Recently, World Bank has nominated Mr Mansha as contributor for the World Bank Benchmarking Public Procurement Project 2016 in Pakistan.
