Sqn. Ldr (Retd) Muhammad Irfan Elahi is one of the first directors of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL). He began his illustrious career joining Pakistan Air Force as a fighter pilot from 1978 to 1991. He joined Civil Service of Pakistan in 1991 and served at different posts in the Provinces of Balochistan and Punjab. Starting as Assistant Commissioner Chaman and Quetta, he remained posted as Deputy Commissioner Pishin, Political Agent of Chagai and Killa Saifullah. In 1998 he was posted in Punjab and served as Deputy Commissioner Sialkot, DCO Rawalpindi, Director Food, Director General Relief Department Punjab, Secretary of Food, Irrigation and Livestock & Dairy Development Departments of Punjab. His last assignment was Chairman Planning & Development Punjab. In November 2015 he took over as Additional Secretary Incharge of Aviation Division. Academically, Mr Elahi is Masters in Public Administration and has a LLB Degree from Punjab University. Possessing a wealth of experience in Administration, Change Management, Human Resource Management and Development Planning, he is also Chairman of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority. He is Chairman of PIACL Board’s Information Technology Steering Committee and Member of Board’s Human Resource & Nomination Committee as well as Board’s Audit Committee.
